Night in Rodanthe

Such a very nice and great movie! You girls got to see this, its a love story by Richard Gere and Diane Lane. They are both good actor and actress. We're glad we got a free movie ticket in the studio. I invited my friends to go with us but they're pretty busy....
I love to watch this movie again. Me and my hubby really had a perfect night out.

The Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary was celebrated at least by the sixth century, when St. Romanos the Melodist, an Eastern Christian who composed many of the hymns used in the Eastern Catholic and Eastern Orthodox liturgies, composed a hymn for the feast. The feast spread to Rome in the seventh century, but it was a couple more centuries before it was celebrated throughout the West.

The source for the story of the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the Protoevangelium of James, an apocryphal gospel written about A.D. 150. From it, we learn the names of Mary's parents, Joachim and Anna, as well as the tradition that the couple was childless until an angel appeared to Anna and told her that she would conceive. (Many of the same details appear also in the later apocryphal Gospel of the Nativity of Mary.)
The traditional date of the feast, September 8, falls exactly nine months after the feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. Perhaps because of its close proximity to the feast of the Assumption of Mary, the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is not celebrated today with the same solemnity as the Immaculate Conception. It is, nonetheless, a very important feast, because it prepares the way for the birth of Christ.

Happy Birthday Mama Mary!

Tropical Grill and Vedeoke

Oh wow! We really had fun tonight! A friend of mine pick me up and we go to Tropical Grill right by Aurora. We had very nice dinner, with her parents and Angelina. We had rice, noddles, "bopis"? and daing! Ohhh really makes my tummy happy
I have been in this restaurant before, this is the first ever Philippine Restaurant since I got her in Denver. I have no idea we're going to the same place cause that was last year when me and my hubby had a blast dinner before.
When I recognize the place, I told my friend that I remember this restaurant . Wow! All the workers, specially the cook are Filipino. I heard their chef talking in our own language, and we ask him if he's Bisaya and he said "oo"! While were introducing ourselves, and when I heard he's the same island like mine. Holly Molly.... we live in the same island and he told me he has been in our town many times! He even knows my neighborhood! Wow! what a small world.... I am so happy meeting him.... ahhhhhh feels like I am just in Pinas......
Ohhh my... me and zima enjoys the vedeoke, its like we're giving our very best in singing " Isang Linggong Pag-ibig "!
